Induction hobs generate heat only where it is needed, i.e. at the base of the pan. The advantage? Greater safety by avoiding the risk of burns. In addition, induction hobs are quicker in bringing pots or pans to temperature. For example, two liters of water boil up to 3 times faster than a gas hob, saving time and energy.
