The pixels of our OLED TVs shine with their own light, like stars in the firmament. They don’t need a backlight to shine and give you the perfect colors you’ve always wanted. And when the pixels turn off, they emit no light, producing perfect black that gives images depth and infinite contrast. LG OLED TVs have always been synonymous with picture perfection.

Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro

Set the right tone for every detail

The ultra-powerful α9 Gen 5 processor works in concert with the OLED screen to map tones more accurately than ever before. Compared to traditional tone mapping that works uniformly on a single frame, the all-new Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro processes colors in as many as 5,000 areas within the frame. In this way the rendering of HDR contents will give you more intense colors respecting the smallest details.

The α9 Gen 5 processor uses Artificial Intelligence to project you into the scene by analyzing sounds and improving their rendering based on the content. Even when you’re watching programs in simple stereo sound, the processor works in concert with your TV’s sound system to transform the 2 channels into virtual 7.1.2 channel sound. You will hear the action and sound effects around you as if you are the real protagonist of the movie.
